What we are about to tell you is a story about teamwork.<\/p>

A teamwork that starts from the world of football<\/b> and specifically from the football team of the city of Florence: Fiorentina<\/b>.<\/p>

Fiorentina, with the new presidency led by Rocco Commisso<\/b>, has been given a new home<\/b>: the Viola Park<\/b>, the largest sports centre in Italy<\/b>, one of the most avant-garde in Europe<\/b>.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/figure>

This new centre<\/b> is not only important<\/b> for the world of football<\/b>, but it is important for the whole of Italy in terms of landscape and architecture<\/b>, once again shining the spotlight on our country – through sport – for a work that is a new feather in the cap to be counted among Italian excellences.<\/b><\/p>

Another team<\/b> has realised this ambitious project<\/b>: the Studio Archea Associati, headed by Architect Marco Casamonti<\/b>, one of the most important names in the world of national and international architecture<\/b>. The Viola sports centre<\/b> is located a stone’s throw from the centre of Florence, Bagno a Ripoli<\/b>, in a verdant area surrounded by the typical Tuscan hills<\/b> with a strategic position with respect to the city’s logistics and public transport.<\/p>

The project<\/b> is really big<\/b>: 26 hectares in total<\/b>: 2 stadiums,<\/b> 12 regular pitches<\/b> that will host all the teams, from the training sessions of the Serie A<\/b> to the 8-year-old children of the Viola nursery<\/b>, including the women’s team<\/b>, as well as the club’s headqaurters<\/b>. An inclusive environment<\/b>, in which one breathes international air, like an American Campus<\/b>.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/figure>

One of the fundamental<\/b> concepts<\/b> behind the Viola<\/b> Park<\/b> was certainly sustainability<\/b>: based on the principles of bio-architecture<\/b>, the project integrated the recovery of a pre-existing farmhouse – Villa Favard<\/b>, with the connotation of a typical Tuscan country house<\/b> – into an avant-garde context<\/b>, both in terms of design and technology<\/b>: pavilions with V-shaped roofs<\/b> (recalling the initial letter<\/b> of Viola<\/b>) equipped with compluvial waterproofing<\/b> for collecting<\/b> and draining rainwater<\/b>, composite pylons made of recyclable<\/b> wood, aluminium and steel, exploitation of natural lighting<\/b> thanks to large windows, sail-shaped roofs equipped with photovoltaic panels<\/b> to meet energy needs.<\/p>

In short, it is a hyper-modern and technologically advanced project<\/b> that has been realised for the new Viola home.<\/p>

It is at this point that another team<\/b> enters the field: that of Poggi Ugo Terrecotte<\/b>; in the context of the Viola Park as it has been conceived, that is as a combination of Tuscan tradition<\/b> and international avant-garde, of hyper-technology and sustainability<\/b>, the large terracotta furnishings from our outdoor<\/b> accessories collection have found their natural place<\/b>.<\/p>

Having chosen to furnish the outdoor areas<\/b> of the Viola Park<\/b> with large terracotta pitchers<\/b> further strengthens the link<\/b> and integration<\/b> with the Tuscan<\/b> landscape<\/b>.<\/p>

The model that was selected for the new Viola house is the large Millerighe Egg,<\/b> \n \nan artefact of considerable size, 108 cm high<\/b> and with a diameter of 85 cm<\/b>, repeated to decorate the large outdoor areas of the innovative sports centre.<\/p>

he design<\/b> of this object makes it both traditional and contemporary<\/b>. \n \nThis artefact was created starting from the idea of the jar<\/b>, which has become a symbol of Tuscan history<\/b> and tradition; in this case, however, the shape<\/b> is precisely that of<\/b> the perfect egg<\/b> (from which it takes its name), the radius<\/b> is much more<\/b> uniform<\/b>, and the classic handles<\/b> have been removed<\/b>, in favour of a very modern aesthetic<\/b>, enhanced by the thin-striped decoration<\/b>. In doing so, the utilitarian concept<\/b> with which the jar was originally conceived has been subverted<\/b>, making it into a design element<\/b> that needs nothing else, because it is beautiful just as it is<\/b>.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/figure>

Also from the point of view of sustainability<\/b> – a fundamental<\/b> concept<\/b> of the entire project – the inclusion of terracotta<\/b> objects was consistent: terracotta is an entirely natural material<\/b>, composed, as we know, only of earth<\/b> and water<\/b>. A terracotta item also has a long durability<\/b> and is infinitely<\/b> recyclable<\/b>.<\/p>

There is no doubt that for a project of excellence such as the Viola Park, Poggi Ugo terrecotte items were chosen! \n<\/p>
