The new Maison Fendi flagship store<\/strong> was inaugurated a few days ago. \nin the heart of Miami’s design district<\/strong> with an architectural and<\/strong> \ndesign project<\/strong> that focuses<\/strong> exclusively on the brand’s Italian roots.<\/strong><\/p><\/p>

<\/p>

The aim of the historic Roman fashion house was to \nto communicate and highlight the beauty of tradition<\/strong>, improving it through innovation<\/strong> \nthat the present allows us to use.<\/p><\/p>

Following this inspiration, the shop is characterised by<\/strong> \nby the use of natural and Italian materials<\/strong> such as marble<\/strong>, walnut<\/strong> \nand terracotta<\/strong>, as well as shapes that evoke the brand’s Roman origins:<\/strong><\/p><\/p>

from the four large arches<\/strong> of the entrance, to the marble flooring<\/em> with work inspired by the Opus Sectile<\/em><\/strong>, \nto the texture of the carpets<\/strong> that recall the course of the Tiber<\/strong> River<\/strong>.<\/p><\/p>

The boutique’s interior is characterised by natural materials that evoke Fendi’s Roman roots.<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/p>

As part of this project – for which Fendi was looking for Italian artists and artisans of the highest calibre<\/strong> \n– we came into contact with the Maison’s designers<\/strong> thanks to the ‘Ydra – Vases with hydroriserva’ collection,<\/strong><\/a> designed by Sabrina Sguanci Baroni<\/strong> \nwhich was presented at the last Fuori Salone in Milan.<\/strong><\/p><\/p>

The three vases that make up the Ydra collection<\/strong> <\/a>have been created using\u00a0cold ceramic glazes<\/strong> on Impruneta terracotta<\/strong>, following a colour palette inspired by<\/strong> Fendi’s iconic pastels<\/strong>, which are also used in the store:<\/strong><\/p><\/p>

Pelle<\/strong> for Ydra Fiore<\/strong><\/a>, Prunus<\/strong> for Ydra Quadro<\/strong><\/a> and Rosa<\/strong> for Ydra Cono<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p><\/p>

The three Ydra vases<\/strong> <\/a>are custom-made using cold ceramic glazes, following the conical pastel palette that characterises the Fendi maison<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p><\/p>

In addition to the Ydra collection<\/strong><\/a>, we have added the distinctive ‘FF’ logo<\/strong> to a series of Manhattan columns<\/strong><\/a> – used as displays – which we modified for the occasion by adding striped half columns on the sides to create a \nto create an image in line with the Fendi concept.<\/p><\/p>

To further enhance the ambience<\/strong> of this luxurious location<\/strong>, \nthe designers of the Fendi boutique<\/strong> have also chosen other Poggi Ugo terracotta vases<\/strong>, both from the classic collection<\/strong><\/em> – such as \nthe Bamboo Vase,<\/strong><\/a> the Innocenti Vase<\/strong><\/a> or the\u00a0Primitive Vase<\/a><\/strong> – as well as contemporary<\/strong> one<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>such as the Modern Ribbed Vase<\/strong><\/a>, Marte Vase<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>and High Cylinder<\/a><\/strong>, \nThey are skilfully mixed also outside the shop,<\/strong> where there is an outstanding gallery<\/strong> characterised by pale pink tiles, also monogrammed.<\/p><\/p>

In this luxurious<\/strong> and warm atmosphere,<\/strong> where design<\/strong> pieces and works of art<\/strong> \nenhance Fendi’s beautiful haute couture<\/strong> collections, \nthe Poggi Ugo terracotta accessories find a perfect setting<\/strong>.<\/p><\/p>

Haute<\/strong> couture<\/strong> and architecture<\/strong>, but also hotels<\/strong> and restaurants<\/strong>, \nare redefining<\/strong> contemporary<\/strong> aesthetics<\/strong>, \noffering atmospheres that emphasise naturalness<\/strong>, authenticity<\/strong> and originality<\/strong>.<\/p><\/p>

In this context, designers<\/strong>, architects<\/strong>, stylists and interior decorators<\/strong> \nare increasingly turning to highly skilled craftsmen<\/strong> to \nto enhance authentic materials<\/strong> such as wood<\/strong>, stone<\/strong> and terracotta<\/strong>.<\/p><\/p>

We are very proud to have participated in the furnishing project of the new Fendi boutique in the centre of the newly opened Miami Design District.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the collaboration with the designer Sabrina Sguanci Baroni, we had the honour of producing a special version of the YDRA collection – vases with water reservoirs – customised with cold ceramic glazes.<\/p>\n

We also modified some of the Manhattan columns to create an image in line with Fendi’s concept for the iconic store.<\/p>\n
