Since 1919 the terrecotte Poggi Ugo has been a milestone in the production of the famous Impruneta terracotta.
Respecting ancient traditions, Antonella and Lorenzo Andrei – grandchildren of Cavalier Ugo Poggi – together with a large team of skilled craftsmen, look resolutely to the future, anticipating lines and shapes that best represent the tastes of the contemporary public.
The desire to improve has led them to collaborate with designers, architects, artists and sculptors to bring craftsmanship closer to art.
Respect for the environment has always been part of the Poggi Ugo culture: from the extraction of the clay, which comes exclusively from the company’s own quarry (next to the kiln), through the manual processing phases, to the firing in the kiln, attention to a sustainable and circular production cycle has always been fundamental.
The processing of each product is done by hand using traditional techniques by master craftsmen who learn the art of terracotta directly in the kiln.
More than 1,600 products are produced: from the antique style – including artistic reproductions and models characteristic of the 1900s – to the more linear and contemporary forms, with truly designer furnishings.
The Poggi Ugo terracotta kiln can create reproductions, patterned items, custom-made pieces and even personalized products on request, thanks to its in-house design studio.
The search for perfection in the entire production cycle has allowed Terrecotte Poggi Ugo to become a benchmark in the world of handmade terracotta for over 100 years.
