Poggi Ugo starring in Buongiorno Ceramica

Buongiorno Ceramica 2025 – Fornace Poggi Ugo is one of the protagonists

On 17 and 18 May, the widespread festival celebrating artistic and handmade ceramics throughout Italy (and beyond) returns.
A special weekend in which 58 AiCC Ceramics Cities will open their doors to events, workshops, exhibitions and meetings for all enthusiasts.

In addition to the official events, many craft and cultural realities will participate with side events, because ceramics – and with it terracotta – is much more than a material: it is culture, identity, art that is made every day.

And of course Impruneta is not to be missed: historical home of terracotta and international reference for its production.

Poggi Ugo furnace will be the protagonist with two special events

Saturday 17 May | 10:00 – 13:00 | Poggi Ugo furnace

“Silence” – Performance by Marco Bonechi

A close encounter with art in the making: Marco Bonechi, sculptor, painter and ‘art researcher’, will create a live sculpture on the theme ‘of the sea’.

An intimate and powerful event, within the evocative spaces of the historic kiln, where matter takes shape and silence becomes storytelling.

Saturday 17 May | 18:30 | Piazza Buondelmonti, Impruneta

Inauguration of Patrizio Travagli’s work ‘7 times 7’.

Inauguration of Patrizio Travagli’s work ‘7 times 7’.

Artist Patrizio Travagli has constructed a choral work, made up of 49 terracotta artefacts, that dialogue with the history and spirit of Piazza Buondelmonti, an ancient crossroads of pilgrimages and trade.

Two events, both curated by Francesca Roberti, a unique opportunity to rediscover the power of terracotta between contemporary art and ancient roots.

We look forward to seeing you in Impruneta, the beating heart of Buongiorno Ceramica 2025!
