Medicean flower box Carrega

The Medicean flower box Carrega is a large handmade terracotta fioriera with a rectangular shape and generous soil capacity, ideal for evergreen plants, seasonal flowers, herbs, or small shrubs. Its moderate height and solid structure make it particularly stable even in windy conditions.

The design is inspired by classical Renaissance style: embossed Medicean decorations, the Medici family coat of arms, finely decorated rims, and a lower band with ornamental motifs give the planter a unique character, reminiscent of historic garden urns.

Entirely handcrafted from Impruneta clay, this planter is frost-resistant down to -30°C, durable, and maintains its shape over time. As the seasons pass, it naturally develops a patina that enhances its appearance.

Thanks to the natural breathability of terracotta and its thermal insulation properties, plant roots remain healthy and protected, promoting balanced growth.
