The timeless design of the stripes embellishes classic or modern gardens. Greek style striped jar furnishes the space directly on the floor, but can also be placed on top of a base, on a riser, and even on top of a column. it is perfect in difficult places, because it does not require any maintenance. At the same time it can also be planted or used as a pot holder. This jar made of terracotta is part of a large collection of vases, boxes and cache-pots with more or less small lines: a motif that has been repeated since the time of the ancient Greeks. The “evergreen” stripe motif which over the centuries has seen various youths, in fashion and objects, is often found in rounded or squared shapes, with thin stripes called “millerighe” or with wide and large stripes, hollow or in relief. This jar in the internally enamelled version was used as a container for foods, such as oil and wine. Today it is used as decoration. Made of natural terracotta and also in dark gray GrigioLava. Handmade with Impruneta clay resistant to frost at -30 °C. With the passage of time it acquires a nice superficial, lived-in appearance.
