Pejrone Impruneta terracotta vase. This vase’s distinctive feature lies in its height-to-diameter ratio, with the height being significantly greater than that of traditional vases. Another distinctive feature is the sloping, thin-profile rim, also known as “owl’s beak.” This distinguishes it from all the other vases in the collection, which have rounded rims. These two simple elements, combined with the slender silhouette, give the “Pejorone” vase a superior elegance and a sleek, linear aesthetic. This vase, always in production at the Poggi Ugo kiln, is designed for plants that require deeper soil, such as climbers and trees. Originally called the “Vaso da Rampicanti,” its overall beauty made it the favorite of renowned landscape architect Paolo Pejrone, who consistently uses it in his major projects. Architect Pejrone was one of the first to recognize the aesthetic elegance of this vase. He made it a must-have item when it comes to plant containers. In recognition of his preference among many others, this item was named the Pejrone Vase in his honor. The elongated, truncated cone shape makes the vase harmonious and facilitates repotting the plant with each repotting. Ideal for climbing plants or those with a taproot system, due to their vertical growth. This vase is guaranteed to be Poggi Ugo quality. Handmade with Impruneta clay, resistant to frost down to -30°C. The terracotta’s excellent breathability, thermoregulation, and the gentle release of watering moisture promote healthy roots.
