Pejrone Pot. The peculiarity of this vase lies in the proportion between height and diameter with the height quite higher than the classic traditional vases. Another feature is the sloping rim, also called “owl’s beak”: This feature differentiates it from all the other vases in the collection, which instead have rounded rims. These two simple elements together with the slender silhouette make the “Pejorone” vase superior in elegance and with a slim and linear aesthetic impact. This vase, which has always been in production at the Poggi Ugo furnace, is made for plants that require greater depth of soil such as climbers and trees. Originally his name was Vaso da Rampicanti, but thanks to its general beauty this model was the favorite of the well-known landscape architect Paolo Pejrone, who always used it in his important projects. The architect Pejrone was one of the first to recognize the aesthetic elegance of this vase. He has transformed it into an essential object when it comes to placing containers for plants. In recognition of his preference among many, this item was named Vaso Pejrone in his honor. The truncated cone shape of elongated proportions makes the vase harmonious and facilitates flaring of the plant with each transfer. Ideal for climbing plants or plants with tap root systems, for their vertical development. Handmade with Impruneta clay resistant to frost at -30 °C. The excellent breathability of terracotta, the thermoregulation and the slight release of humidity when watered, give health to the roots of the plants planted here.
