Susy Sculpture

Susy Sculpture. The mold for the small Susy sculpture comes from a workshop of a Tuscan ceramist. We believe it’s the work of an academic enamored with Cubism, bringing the figurative style of the 19th century into three dimensions while blending hints of the revolutionary art of the early 20th century—Cubism itself. The result is a delightful piece suitable for any space due to its modest size: a modern decor item in the warm and unique hues of handmade Impruneta terracotta, often shifting from pink to orange, red to white. Ideal when placed on consoles, coffee tables, tea tables, bookshelves, or shelves, or in small collections of contemporary figurative art, with care taken to place felt pads or silicone dots underneath (to protect surfaces where it rests). Perfect, for instance, on a natural wood or lacquered coffee table, raffia, glass, or metal such as aluminum or Corten steel, arranged alongside art books, candles, trays, and a vase with small green plants or trimmed branches, serving as a focal point in a living area between sofas and armchairs, ideally on an appropriately colored and textured rug.
