Medici pot with foot and leaves. The most classic shape ever for risers. From ancient Greece, to the Roman era, to the Renaissance, to the Empire style, this cup shape was created, with or without bas-reliefs, in all eras and in all materials such as marble, stone, alabaster and all types of casting, primarily bronze. We also find it in crystal or glass as a centrepiece, it is practically an “evergreen”. This, handmade by Terrecotte Poggi Ugo of Impruneta, has mythological scenes depicted in the central part. Made up of two pieces supplied separately to be joined on site with simple glue or outdoor cement.
