The new Maison Fendi flagship store was inaugurated a few days ago. in the heart of Miami’s design district with an architectural and design project that focuses exclusively on the brand’s Italian roots.

The aim of the historic Roman fashion house was to to communicate and highlight the beauty of tradition, improving it through innovation that the present allows us to use.
Following this inspiration, the shop is characterised by by the use of natural and Italian materials such as marble, walnut and terracotta, as well as shapes that evoke the brand’s Roman origins:
from the four large arches of the entrance, to the marble flooring with work inspired by the Opus Sectile, to the texture of the carpets that recall the course of the Tiber River.
The boutique’s interior is characterised by natural materials that evoke Fendi’s Roman roots.
As part of this project – for which Fendi was looking for Italian artists and artisans of the highest calibre – we came into contact with the Maison’s designers thanks to the ‘Ydra – Vases with hydroriserva’ collection, designed by Sabrina Sguanci Baroni which was presented at the last Fuori Salone in Milan.
The Ydra collection presented at the Fuorisalone in Milan.
The three vases that make up the Ydra collection have been created using cold ceramic glazes on Impruneta terracotta, following a colour palette inspired by Fendi’s iconic pastels, which are also used in the store:
Pelle for Ydra Fiore, Prunus for Ydra Quadro and Rosa for Ydra Cono.
The three Ydra vases are custom-made using cold ceramic glazes, following the conical pastel palette that characterises the Fendi maison.
In addition to the Ydra collection, we have added the distinctive ‘FF’ logo to a series of Manhattan columns – used as displays – which we modified for the occasion by adding striped half columns on the sides to create a to create an image in line with the Fendi concept.

To further enhance the ambience of this luxurious location, the designers of the Fendi boutique have also chosen other Poggi Ugo terracotta vases, both from the classic collection – such as the Bamboo Vase, the Innocenti Vase or the Primitive Vase – as well as contemporary one such as the Modern Ribbed Vase, Marte Vase and High Cylinder, They are skilfully mixed also outside the shop, where there is an outstanding gallery characterised by pale pink tiles, also monogrammed.

Many celebrities found a place here, posing as if on a red carpet, to be immortalised during the exclusive overture (check out @poggiugoterrecotte‘s profile on IG to see the full gallery).
In this luxurious and warm atmosphere, where design pieces and works of art enhance Fendi’s beautiful haute couture collections, the Poggi Ugo terracotta accessories find a perfect setting.
Haute couture and architecture, but also hotels and restaurants, are redefining contemporary aesthetics, offering atmospheres that emphasise naturalness, authenticity and originality.
In this context, designers, architects, stylists and interior decorators are increasingly turning to highly skilled craftsmen to to enhance authentic materials such as wood, stone and terracotta.
Poggi Ugo is one of this: this synergy between creativity and craftsmanship not only enriches spaces with an authentic character but also reflects a commitment to sustainability and the rediscovery of authentic values.
We are very proud to have been involved in a project of this magnitude, in which the ancient Poggi Ugo kiln has found its place, both for its long tradition of craftsmanship for the very high quality of the raw material, Impruneta clay, but also for its ability to meet the specific requirements of its customers and to produce and to be able to produce excellent products that meet even the highest customer expectations.

Art, craftsmanship and the highest quality are our “sartorial” talents. for which the Fendi Maison has chosen to complement the Poggi Ugo terracotta collections. In this way, two historic brands are brought together in a single, magnificent space, each in its own sector, Â bring the value of Made in Italy to the world.
